My decision to go on a bicycle world tour was made with a first pedal step in my head.
Like applying a first pressure on the hydraulic brakes of my instincts, using my hands
and feet, so to speak. 
I realized that the life of a mature woman has still something to offer, as long as she
is willing to go for it.

My plan grew over a period of 3 years into a world solo bicycling project.
It became an intense longing for going out and meeting the creation on our planet.

Riding on a bicycle allows to approach the world carefully and with respect.
Sensibility ca drive the movements of my pedals. This project wasn’t decided in a rush!

My careful and serious preparations allowed to learn about connections between the
human and the cultural factors of traveling, before I even started the tour.
This will allow me to become at least temporarily part of the tremendous foreign world
surrounding us which I will enter.

I want to learn and appreciate nature and her many different plants and animals.
But I also want to be ready and excited about the unusual encounters with this
worlds people.

In times of globalization, I want to meet the people far off the beaten paths of the
average tourists. And I want to burn these scenes into my memory.

I want to express at this point that I vow to be a responsible and respectful traveler.
I’ll keep my heart, mind and eyes wide open!
