Why is appealing Cycling-Granny for the donation-campaign „Cycling for Target“?

In our Grannies opinion Rüdiger Nehberg’s work on „TARGET“ is the best project to give worldwide attention to the crime on girls (women). As a woman Granny is outraged about the absurd pain caused by the mutilation of women’s genitals (FGM), the female circumcision. Independently from religion and national background it is mostly performed because of tradition. The circumcision of women is practiced since thousands of years. 130 million of women are victims, so every day about 6000 girls are circumcised. 5-10 % are dying later caused by the complications of this cruel custom. This must be stopped.

Granny studied the Islamic religion at the University of Bielefeld. Many countries where women are circumcised are Islamic. It is not right that this custom is originated in the Koran. „TARGET” believes that the power of Islam is the strongest tool to stop this horrible custom of female circumcision. Together with influential Islamic lawyers „TARGET“tries to explain that the mutilation of women doesn’t match with the Koran and the ethics of Islam! For the benefit of women, for the dignity of Islam, and for the honour of Mohamed and Allah, this has to end!
